FMRS to participate in ‘SPIE Security + Defence 2015‘ to take place in Toulouse, France (21-24 September 2015).
FMRS to participate at the ERMES FP7 project INTERIM meeting that will take place in Milan on the 23rd September 2015. ERMES, an FP7-SPACE project, aims to integrate innovative Remote Sensing and Crop Modeling techniques to assist farmers and regional authorities in rice cultivation and monitoring activities.
FMRS participates in SCERIN-3 Capacity Building Workshop (CBW) to be held in Brașov, Romania (13-17 July 2015). SCERIN (originally SEERIN) is one of the GOFC-GOLD regional networks. It encourages collaboration between scientists and other professionals that are based (or have a scientific interest) in the region of South Eastern and Central Europe.
The meeting will take place at the premises of the Department of Forestry and Natural Environment, Thessaloniki, Greece. Four members of CNR-IREA are visiting FMRS and the Cereal Institute of DEMETER within the framework of the ERMES FP7 SPACE project. The meetings focus on the refinement of the objectives of the 2nd year of the project.
The SPLIT RS 2015 Summer School, hosted by FMRS, was succesfully completed. The SPLIT RS 2016 was announced to be held at the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (MAICh).
A delegation of Greek Forest Service senior officials, including the General Director Mr. Kostas Dimopoulos, to visit FMRS in order to discuss about the National Forest Observatory (ΕΠαΔ) and the National Observatory of Forest Fires (ΕΠΑΔΑΠ) projects.
