Ioannis Gitas will give a seminar on ‘Remote Sensing of forest fires (focus on Mediterranean ecosystems)’ at the School of GeoSciences, University of Edinburgh. The seminar is a part of the EEO-AGI(S) Series Programme 2014-15.
FMRS participated in the ArcFUEL project that was recently selected as one of the 22 Best LIFE Environment projects for 2014. Thanos Chatzakos who is doing his BSc Thesis at FMRS will be hosted by the Department of ‘Geology, Geography and Natural Resources’ of the University of Alcala (Spain) for the period 1 April – 30 June 2015. This short-term placement is supported by the ERASMUS+ project.
