A meeting was held on the 18th of February in the offices of the General Secreteriat of Civil Protection (Athens) during which the possible involvement of GSCP in NOFFi was discussed.
A meeting will be held on the 18th of February in the office of the Special Secretary of Forests Mr. Giorgos Amorgianiotis (Athens). During the meeting the progress done so far in relation to the establishment of NOF, the problems identified, and the planned future actions will be discussed.
ΕΠαΔαΠ, a project that aims at the establishment of the Greek National Forest Fire Observatory, was just signed by the Greek Special Secreteriat of Forests. The official starting date of the project which will be implemented in collaboration with the Interbalkan Environment Center (www.i-bec.org) is the 3rd of March 2014.
FMRS members work in close collaboration with the Greek Forest Service personnel for the establishment of the National Forest Obsrvatory (ΕΠαΔ).
GEOBIA 2014: almost 300 abstracts were submitted for evaluation by the conference scientific committee.
